Murray State
By Umar Syed
Out of all the courts in the Missouri Valley Conference, the one that is the best is in the CFSB Center, home of the Murray State Racers.
The Racers have the best court in the Valley because the look of it is one that matches the mood and feel of courts like Duke, North Carolina, Kansas and other basketball powerhouses. It’s also a court that every MVC fan loves to visit because there have been some really entertaining games played there, including some memorable matchups with the Braves. The Murray State blue and gold combination is one that makes this the best court in the conference.
Illinois-Chicago
By Rodrigo Perez
Despite the Flames not having the greatest of years, their court is one of the best in the MVC.
Abandoning the classic golden, yellow hardwood for a bone white one, Illinois-Chicago makes good use of their red, white and blue logo. Another interesting feature of this court is its blue baseline with the alternate Flames logo, featuring two red stars along each side. Overall, it’s a unique court for the only MVC team in Chicago.
Indiana State

Indiana State’s dominance at home this season can be attributed to many things; the Sycamores are one of the best offensive teams in the nation and have the third-highest three-pointers made. I’ll attribute their success to having the best-looking court in the MVC.
The Hulman Center boasts a beautiful dark blue exterior with a smooth hardwood interior. The blue seats compliment the court well and make for a vibrant atmosphere. When Sycamore fans pack the house, it makes the team much harder to beat.
Southern Illinois
By Mason Klemm
I like Southern Illinois’ court for two reasons: multiple colors and a logo that pops.
Inside the three-point line, you get treated to a white wood that contrasts well with the rest of the court. Once you hit the lane, it’s back to the pretty brown planks that dominate the arena. A sprawling Saluki in the middle tops everything off and makes this court one of the best-looking ones in the league.
Interesting. Who says basketball courts all have to look the same? It might be a little discombobulating to the visiting team when they see the court but they’ll get used to it.
